It is bold, sophisticated, and a total head-turner. To keep your hair on your head (and not on the floor!), we often perform what I call a "multi-session journey." This ensures we don't blow out the hair cuticle. During your sessions, I use high-quality bond builders to reinforce the internal structure of your strands. We aim for the color of the inside of a banana peel, that is the sweet spot where we can apply a toner to neutralize any remaining warmth and achieve that signature cool, platinum finish. ## Step 3: At-Home Maintenance for Rochester Weather Rochester’s weather can be tough on hair. To keep your color looking fresh and your roots under control, you’ll want to visit me every 4 to 6 weeks. Letting your roots grow too long can actually make the next lightening process more difficult because the "heat zone" near your scalp helps the lightener work more effectively.
